3 Quick Tips for Open Enrollment

1. Personalize – the 25-year-old employee is going to have vastly different wants/needs than the 60-year-old employee. You can personalize open enrollment by offering:

  • Different medical plans specific to your demographics.

  • Voluntary benefits to let employees choose what’s important for them.

  • Small perks or benefits like paying for a mental health subscription service or more PTO.

2. Hyper Communicate – Make sure you’re constantly communicating all the benefits that are being offered this year in different mediums. Paper, email, in-person and technology are most effective when used together.

3. Mobile/Tech Friendly – Letting employees enroll through a mobile app or website makes enrollment easier on many employees.  The more technology you can give the employee (enrollment platforms, videos, interactive guides, etc.) the easier it is for them to learn and make better decisions.
